Loukia Goni was born in Athens, Greece. Photography entered her life not through a single defining moment, but as a quiet, persistent calling - a way of expressing herself through images since her teenage years. Her camera has since accompanied her in wanderings shaped by the unexpected and the fleeting nature of reality. She has attended seminars in artistic and participatory photography (PhotoVoice), participated in group exhibitions in Greece, and in 2021 created her dummy photobook Echoes of Flowers & Lemons.
After completing her studies in Communication, Media, and Culture in Athens and an MSc in Digital Media & Design in Edinburgh, she worked for over a decade in digital communication. In 2022, following her training in Hatha Yoga and Kids Yoga, she founded positivespace.studio - an initiative dedicated to reconnecting with the positive qualities within and around us.
Her practice unfolds at the intersection of photography, yoga, writing, travel, and nature. She teaches yoga to adults and children and facilitates photography workshops for young people, having also curated a children’s photography exhibition. Through her lens, she explores the world and creates new ones, focusing on memory, stillness, and quiet observational processes. For her, photography and yoga share a common ground: both are evolving, meditative practices that return us to the present moment, balancing motion and stillness while offering a genuine sense of freedom and creativity.
